We have always enjoyed entertaining family and friends in this very special home.  By opening Stonehenge Waterfront Bed and Breakfast we will now be able to share this treasure with others as well.  Stonehenge was featured on the 2009 Annual Bobcaygeon House Tour.  It is truly an exceptional one-of-a-kind property located on Big Bob Channel (Pigeon Lake) right in the Village of Bobcaygeon within a ten minute walk to wonderful shops, friendly pubs and fine dining restaurants, boutiques, spas, art galleries and one of the busiest locks on the Trent-Severn Waterway (Lock 32).

Stone pillars and wrought iron gates offer a glimpse of yesteryear.  A long winding driveway meanders through 5.3 lush acres and opens to reveal a magnificent two-storey limestone house.  From every window you will have a beautiful view of the colourful gardens, sweeping lawns and stately trees.  A delicious full breakfast will be served at 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. (your choice of time) in the large screened porch on the main floor or dine alfresco on the deck, weather permitting.   In the cooler weather we will serve breakfast in the dining room.  If you are an early riser, help yourself to coffee, tea, fresh fruit, home baked muffins and banana bread in the Library.   This room is available for guests to use and like the rest of the house, always seems to be bathed in sunlight.  It is a quiet retreat to read a good book or check messages on your laptop.   In the warm weather, the screened porch in the boathouse is a comfortable place to have a game of scrabble, cards, darts or just watch the boats go by.

For those who like to keep busy, there are lots of activities in Bobcaygeon and surrounding areas.  Visit the Bobcaygeon & Area Chamber of Commerce for information on all the upcoming events, festivals and things to do.   We will provide a list of restaurants within walking distance, brochures on local attractions and challenging golf courses.

Take our pedal boat or canoe for a ride to see all the beautiful homes on Big Bob Channel,  go for a swim or enjoy a bicycle ride to town and explore everything this wonderful village has to offer.  There is great fishing off our dock so be sure to bring your fishing license and equipment.  If relaxing is your thing, then you have come to the right place!  On a sunny day, you can stretch out on one of the lounge chairs at the dock and watch the parade of boats as they glide by or relax in the antique swing on the veranda.

We are offering two private suites on the second floor, May through October.

Your Hosts:  Lee & John Tollett
